Values - Our Philosophy of Care
Alexandra Lodge Care Centre has established a philosophy, which demonstrates its commitment to delivering an assured high quality standard of care.
The Care Centre cares for older people to help them achieve the best in life.
There are three main objectives to our care:
- An atmosphere of independence and choice in which older people can retain or recover confidence in themselves and their ability. By recognising the difficulties faced throughout ageing we can help older people by providing them with support to make this not “just something to bear”, but an enjoyable phase in their lives.
- The ongoing training of all staff and strong management controls ensure an optimum level of care is provided to all our Residents.
- The assessment and evaluation of each Resident’s circumstances and health on a regular basis is a key element in administering unique individualised and appropriate care.
These objectives are fulfilled by carefully considering the needs and wishes of our Residents and their relatives.
Alexandra Lodge has created a professional atmosphere that combines with “a homely” living to give a sense of reassurance and ease.
Every Resident cared for at the Care Centre will be treated with respect and dignity.
At Alexandra Lodge Care Centre we are committed to safeguard the interests and welfare of residents and staff through effective organisation and management.
We Aim:
To provide personal centered care and treatment based on individual needs.
To maintain high standards of care and practice within a total quality management framework using a holistic approach.
To involve residents and carers in a care programme.
To encourage and promote independence, maintain dignity and privacy.
